Some use the terms Certified Nutritionist and Nutritionist interchangeably. It’s important to understand that “anybody” can call themselves a nutritionist; whereas, a Certified Nutritionist is also called a Clinical Nutritionist, or Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN). They are professionals who have a four-year degree in clinical nutrition or a master’s degree in human nutrition, have completed at least 15 courses of core nutrition science, complete at least 900 hours of internship, then sit for a national board exam.
To maintain certification, each CCN (Certified Clinical Nutritionist) must complete 40 hours of continued education courses every two years, attend two CCN annual Scientific Symposiums, and re-certify every five years.
Our team of Certified Nutritionists are qualified professionals. We work one-on-one with patients to develop diets based on how food is affecting you — tailoring nutrition interventions to fit your individual needs.
We practice a patient-centered approach, focusing on nutrition education, analyzing lifestyle and eating behaviors, deficiencies, and excesses in your diet, as well as your medical history. Together, we will develop a nutrition plan so that you can be more confident in your food choices, feel healthier, and live a more vital life.

Many claim to be a nutritionist. But only a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) meets rigorous academic requirements with clinical training, holding a degree from an accredited university. Our RDNs stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to provide our patients with expert nutrition counseling.
